After a quick overnight with Ron & Maggie up in Exeter, NH, I headed down to Falls Church to visit with Mom for 10 days. She had a lot going on because she had decided to move into a smaller apartment after being in #1584 for 18 years. Becca & Mike and Mike & Kitty and Mom & I worked on paring down possessions from three continents and 68 years of marriage such that Mom’s new place would look “the same but differenter”.
And then, after saying goodbye to friends and family, it was time to officially start the trip by heading to Skyline Drive and the Shenandoah Valley.
